Information & History

The Ebohon Cultural Centre is a profound institution for research into African Arts, Traditional Religion, and the unsolved mysteries of nature.

Often referred to as the "Centre for Traditional Sciences," it stands as the most spectacular achievement in the career of High Priest Dr. Osemwegie Ebohon.

1965

Founded by Dr. Ebohon in a humble, small one-room gallery on Mission Road, Benin City.

The Expansion

As the collection grew, the Centre moved to Dr. Ebohon's maternal home at Ibinadolor Street, off Murtala Mohammed Way.

Present Day

Today, we reside at the magnificent site on Odenede Street, standing as a fortress for Benin culture and tradition.

The Four Pillars

The Centre is built upon four main features that serve the physical, spiritual, and cultural needs of humanity.

🏺

Adesuwa Farm of Life

Scholars and visitors on academic missions use our farmhouse as a guest house. The building is architecturally unique, built in the shape of a bird with open wings cooling itself.

It features a tropical verandah and modern facilities for a peaceful retreat.
