Frequently Asked Questions

Common Inquiries
What can I experience at the Ebohon Cultural Centre?
The Centre is a holistic hub of Benin heritage. You can visit our vast Museum and Art Gallery, witness performances by the Ebohon Cultural Troupe, consult the Traditional Healing Home, and explore the Botanical Garden of medicinal plants.
Can I book the Cultural Troupe for events?
Yes. The Ebohon Cultural Troupe, established in 1960, is available for local and international bookings. We perform at festivals, educational institutions, private ceremonies, and government functions. Please contact us for availability and rates.
Do you offer traditional medical services?
Yes. Our Centre houses a Traditional Hospital where the High Priest and trained herbalists use ancient knowledge and the "plant soul" to treat various ailments. We advocate for the complementary use of traditional and orthodox medicine.
Is photography allowed in the Museum and Shrine?
Photography is generally permitted in the open gallery and garden areas. However, specific sacred areas of the Shrine and certain rare artifacts in the museum may have restrictions. Please ask a guide for permission before recording.
Are visitors of all religions welcome?
Absolutely. The Ebohon Cultural Centre preaches peace, understanding, and the universality of God (Osanobua). We welcome researchers, tourists, and seekers from all religious backgrounds to learn about African Traditional Religion without prejudice.
How can I support the Centre?
You can support us by becoming a registered member, subscribing to our video archives, purchasing books written by Dr. Ebohon, or simply visiting us to keep the history alive.
